
Grzegorz has been the MFC Executive Director since 1999. Under his management the MFC Network has grown to 105 member institutions (from 21 in 1997), the MFC capacity building program has trained over 3,000 microfinance specialists, MFC innovative research projects are developing new solutions to reach the low-income people and the policy program fosters improvement to the legal and regulatory frameworks for microfinance. Grzegorz also contributes to the work of various regional and global committees and since 2006 has been active in the UN Advisors Group on Inclusive Financial Sectors.

Katarzyna, MFC Deputy Director, is a microfinance specialist assisting MFC members in their innovation efforts through action-research projects and providing capacity building services in social performance management, financial education, product diversification and strategic management. She is a member of the steering committees of the Imp-Act Consortium and International Task Force for Social Performance. She graduated from the Warsaw School of Economics with MSc in Economics, and CEMBA – the Canadian Executive MBA program.

Justyna manages research projects and is the author of the annual publication on the state of microfinance industry in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. She also conducts market research studies in the demand for microfinance products (credit, savings, microinsurance), access to finance and the use of financial services, indebtedness, using a variety of research techniques (focus group discussions, in-depth interviews, questionnaire-based surveys). She has 15 years experience working in development in Eastern European countries and the Commonwealth of Independent States and 8 years experience in conducting microfinance research. This includes hands-on experience in conducting qualitative research and quantitative data analysis using statistical software, writing and publishing articles on the state of microfinance in the region.

Monika Milowska, worked for 4 years in UNICEF Poland where she developed and implemented UNICEF nationwide educational strategy and programs: humanitarian, intercultural and about children rights. She improved partnership with many actors: Governmental Institutions, NGO, educational etc. She is also an author of articles and publications about development aid and an academic teacher at Institute of Sociology, Warsaw University. Zofia is part of the Financial Education team. She coordinates multiple projects in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, including experimental project in Poland on the borderline of financial education and research. She graduated from the European studies with Eastern Europe specialization at Warsaw University with a master's degree, and Russian Philology at the same university with a BA. Ewa is the program manager for the SPM, managing action research projects on social performance innovation and customer protection. She works with a wide range of stakeholders on developing and pilot testing new tools and solutions, setting standards and documenting the experience of practitioners in attempts in delivering on microfinance promise in the CEE and NIS regions and beyond. With a background in market research, her previous professional experience covered marketing research in the banking sector and market analysis for the B2B service global alliance. Ewa holds an MSc in Quantitative Methods and Information Systems from Warsaw School of Economics and a postgraduate diploma from Warsaw University in psychology of consumer’s behaviour. Kinga has been working in MFC since September 2011. Prior to that, she worked in Technical Secretariat for Cross-Border Cooperation Program Poland – Belarus – Ukraine and Pontis Foundation, Slovakia where she was responsible for managing projects related to development assistance, democracy promotion and development education mostly in the Western Balkans and Central and Eastern Europe. She has been also providing trainings and workshops to partner organizations covering topics such as fundraising, strategic and project planning, introduction to corporate social responsibility, cross – sector cooperation between NGOs and business, advocacy campaigning. Over the years she conducted several organizational audits and trainings on board staff relations. In MFC Kinga works in Social Performance Management program. Aldona Rutkowska has 8 years of experience in conducting microfinance capacity building programs. She has designed, developed and implemented a variety of microfinance capacity building and training programs in the EAC region. She has collaborated with various capacity building initiatives including IFC, SEEP, CGAP, ILO, ACCION and WWB and numerous local service providers. She also leads MFC’s efforts in designing new courses and disseminating best practices in microfinance. Since 2010 Aldona has managed EIF funded JASMINE Technical Assistance Program. Shaiyrgul joined the MFC Central Asia office in 2010 as a project coordinator and assists in implementing MFC projects in the region: SPM and financial education projects. She has 16 years experience in financial systems and for the last 7 years in microfinance at leading MFIs in the country. Barbara joined MFC in May 2011. She is responsible for providing secretarial and administrative assistance, MFC database, and is also involved in the MFC membership issues such as monitoring fee payments, organizing Board meetings.
