Capacity Building

MFC routinely organizes workshops, seminars and training courses in 30+ topics for the microfinance industry in ECA region. The Capacity Building Program aims at improving capacity of microfinance institutions through raising awareness, building the skills and promoting best practices. MFC successfully promotes sustainability and transparency of microfinance institutions and contributes to the microfinance sector development.

Since 1998 MFC has provided over 500 stand-alone workshops, trainings and seminars, and trained more than 5000 microfinance specialists. MFC has also developed the capacity of international networks such as EMN, Sanabel, RMC and many national associations.
Capacity building for microfinance institutions and associations:

 

  •  Customized in-house training programs for microfinance institutions and banks

  •  Course development and training of trainers (TOT)

  •  Establishing local training centers in Kazakhstan and Tajikistan

 

Recent projects include: European Investment Fund funded JASMINE Program focused on organizational capacity building of 25 MFIs in Western Europe, ICCO and Oxfam Novib funded capacity building program for emerging MFIs in Tajikistan, ICCO funded capacity building project of microfinance associations in Central Asia.
