This global and regional event’s Calendar present an up to date information on available technical assistance and education opportunities relevant for the microfinance associations wishing to start-up social performance activities with their members. It is intended to be of additional support for networks to develop and manage SP related projects and to support networks’ educational needs.

Smart campaign webinar series - May 23-25th 2012

This month  we are hosting an open webinar series on our tools training. The training will provide a great overview of the Smart Campaign and the resources available. Specifically, it will discuss two “entry points” for when tools are especially helpful: 1) as part of a client protection strategy, and 2) as a solution to a specific problem.

  • Social Performance Task Force annual meeting - June 04– 8th 2012, Dead Sea, Jordan

Every year it gathers all stakeholders involved in Social Performance Management. This is a unique opportunity to discuss, share experience and learn.

The focus this year will be the launch of the Universal Standards for Social Performance Management (USSPM). Introductory trainings and pre-meetings will take place on Monday, June 4 (including an all day overview training on social performance management initiatives and tools, designed for participants who have not previously attended an annual meeting) and Tuesday, June 5 (including a day-long training on Smart Campaign’s Client Protection Principles). The plenary sessions on June 6 and 7 will be conducted with the assumption that participants are familiar with and understand the background information discussed in the introductory trainings. Additional trainings and post-meeting workshops will take place on Friday, June 8.

This year, Anton Simanowitz will be leading a course called “Becoming a More Effective Organization for Clients: Integrating Social Performance into MF Strategy and Management Systems”
